2018 Picpoul Blanc - (Certified organic) (Very limited!!)

A rarely planted white wine variety in the United States, Picpoul, or Picpoul Blanc originates from Southern France in the Languedoc region and is one of 13 recognized varietals in Chateauneuf du Pape in the Southern Rhone. For us here in California, we enjoy it for its bright acidity and minerality along with gorgeous citrus flavors.

A perfect wine for the warm summer months, this clean, light and refreshing 100% Picpoul Blanc will hit the spot. Checking in at only 12.1% alcohol you can enjoy a couple glasses of this beauty without any trouble. A pretty nose of orange blossom and jasmine leads to a seamless, clean texture with light citrus flavors of lemon and honeydew melon. Twist off the screw cap and get after it!

Wilfred Wong (Wine.com) 90 Points: COMMENTARY: When I was a young wine professional, I was excited to discover Picpoul from the southern part of France. Those wines were clean, fresh, and spoke of minerality. The 2018 Cellars 33 Picpoul Blanc from Lodi has recreated the best attributes of those wines. TASTING NOTES: This wine is fresh, bright, and clean. Its brisk aromas and flavors of ripe fruit and chalk should pair nicely with linguine and clams. (Tasted: April 23, 2019, San Francisco, CA)
