Behind the Name "Cellars 33®"
While we now live in San Francisco, and absolutely love it here, both of us call Baltimore home. We both trace significant childhood memories in Baltimore to the "Outdoor Insane Asylum" of Memorial Stadium on 33rd Street. John remembers seeing Bert Jones throw long bombs to Roger Carr and Katie remembers Eddie Murray "Edddddiee!!" hitting long bombs out of the park. We thought first to call our winery 33rd Street Cellars but modified it to Cellars 33® to both remember where we're from and to honor those cherished memories.
